Equo ne credite - Do not trust the horse
The crest represents the repulse of the French cavalry whilst the Division stood in Line.
The yellow ground represents the cornfields while the black horse stands for the French cavalry and the motto translates as "Do not trust the horse".

In 1815 the reg'ts Colonel Ellis died at Waterloo, He was an Englishman from the city of Worcester. Today the recreated reg'ts Colonel is also an Englishman from Worcester.
