Princess Charlotte born.

Thursday, 7 January 1796
At a quarter to ten in the morning, on the 7th of January 1796 Princess Charlotte was born at Carlton House London. Her father was George Prince of Wales, her mother Caroline of Brunswick.
Prince George wrote..''The Princess, after a terrible hard labour for about twelve hours, is this instant brought to bed of an immense girl, and I assure you notwithstanding we might have wish'd for a boy, I recieve her with all the affection possible...''
