Marshal Louis Alexandre Berthier died.

Thursday, 1 June 1815
On June the 1st 1815 Marshal Louis-Alexandre Prince Neuchatel et de Wagram died. Napoleons Chief of Staff for almost 20 years, Berthier refused to serve again during the 100 days. He died 'falling' from a window in Bamberg whilst watching Allied troops march towards the invasion of France.
