George William Fredrick the eldest son of Fredrick Prince of Wales and Augusta of Sax-Gotha was born at Norfolk House, Saint James Square London at half-past seven in the morning on the 4th of June 1738. He was a premature baby who appeared weak and unlikely to survive.
