Sunday, 18 June 1815
On Sunday June the 18th 1815 the battle of Waterloo was fought between the Anglo-Allied army of the Duke of Wellington and that of Napoleon. The battlefield was fought some 18miles south of Brussells in Belgium. The French army was utterly defeated.
