Friday, 16 June 1815
On Friday the 16th of June 1815 at the crossroads of Quatre Bras in Belgium a battle was fought between the Ango-Allied Army of the Duke of Wellington and the left wing of Napoleons Armee d'Nord. The Allies lost around 5000 casualties, the French around 4000. Tacticly it was an Allied victory, but a costly one.
