Battle of Medina Del Rio Seco

Thursday, 14 July 1808
On the 14th of July 1808 the battle of Medina Del Rio Seco was fought. The Spanish Army of 24,000 Castilians and Galicians under Generals Cuestas and Blake, in entrenchments and up hill of their enemy faced 12,000 Frenchmen under Generals Merle and Mouton. The victory went to France.
