Napoleon attacked Arch Duke Charles splitting the Austrian Army.
The right wing of the Austrian Army under Charles fell back to Eckmuhl while the left wing under Hiller retreated to Landshut.
113000 Frenchman defeated 161000 Austrians causing 2700 casualties and taking 4000 prisnors.
